During its annual congresses (Toulon 2003, Nice 2004, Genova 2006, Marseille 2007, Sfax 2008, Milan 2009, Beirut 2010), the International Association TiceMed (www.ticemed.org) has witnessed the evolution of paradigms and informational and communicational practices in education and their connection with Information and communication technologies (Ict) in that area. Year 2011 will be a moment for two major shifts: a) TiceMed network is going to be associated with French and international networks in order to give more visibility to our academic community (Beirut, Marseille, Toulouse, Euprera, Spain, Catalonia) and b) in order to stick with the probable expanded flow of proposals, all communications that are vetted will be entirely published on-line whatever the format of their presentation. Themes Rationale The profound changes in the Mediterranean world are a reflection of the narrowing of the planet and lead people whose cultural heritage is sometimes very far to cohabit as well in everyday life as on the benches of the school or university. A major challenge of our time is not only to live this multicultural society but to bring out the full potential of progress contained in it, instead of indulging in a communitarian easiness. TiceMed 2011 will concentrate on the topic : Ict’s and building up social linkage in multicultural contextThe objective for the authors is to witness experiences of multiculturality, whether successful or not, to analyze them and to assess them in theoretical frameworks that have to be specified. |
